Hello. I want to congratulate everyone on the Olympic Games in Sochi! Our sportsmen are already doing their best to get Olympic medals. Let's analyze past achievements of the Russian team.

Russian Federation has participated  in 19 summer and 15 winter Olympic Games.
All in all Russia got 406 medals in summer and 92 in winter Games (without including USSR). The most successful in winter games Russians were in skiing, figure skating and biathlon and not so good at skeleton and toboggan yet. Our best result at Olympics was in 1994. Russians took 23 medals and were given the first place. 

Russian sportsmen are strong, fast and always successful at all championships. But we still need to improve our sports skills, build new sports schools and have professional coaches.

To sum up, I want to wish good luck for all our sportsmen and advise everyone to watch Olympic Games in Sochi!

"Sports in our life"

Sports play one of the most important roles in my life. I enjoy playng different games, for example volleyball, basketball in my PE classes. I do a bit of swimming, dancing, skating and skiing.

 I am not take part in competitions. I mostly prefer art. But I enjoy doing sports in my free time with my friends and relatives.

Many people go in for sports all over the world, because sports help them to keep themselves fit, to have a good mood. People become much healthy and stronger. 

I can exactly say that my favourite sport is figure skating. I like this sport most of all. I like to go to the skatingrink in all weather. And I think I am quite good at skating. 

I like to watch sports on TV. Ecpecially I like to watch olimpiads, It is very exciting! 

Sports may be different. Some of them are beautiful or interesting, for example dancing, skating or gymnastic. Some of them may be dangerous, for example skateboarding.

But it is not very mportant what sport it is, you shoud like it. 

I think sports are very important in people`s life. They make us healthy, fit and happy!
